To help engineers realize more functional and accurate 3D mechanical products, Autodesk developed Autodesk Inventor Professional, a complex software tool equipped with multiple mechanical designs, innovative data and motion simulations.
In order to enjoy the program's features, you have to get through a long-lasting installation process and some advanced operation settings. Once completed, you get to see a standard interface, that has a stylish toolbar section, basic menu and buttons design, along with beautiful tutorial representations. Because the application is addressed to mechanic experts, novice users may find the interface a bit overwhelming.
The program provides users several project templates, to create or assemble 2D or 3D components. You are provided with tools that allow you to create parameters as you sketch and size 3D objects. More, as a user, you are able to create 3D documentation or create clear, accurate and detailed drawings.
Once you've finished a project, you can export the content to an image file like TIFF, PNG, GIF, JPEG, or BMP. If you want to continue your work later, you can save it in DWG or DWF format, and use the file in another CAD software.
It does worth mentioned that the program uses a large number of system resources, and it requires high system requirements. Also, you can't run multiple sessions at once on one computer.
To summarize, Autodesk Inventor Professional allows specialized users to create modern and complex products, while allowing them to realize tests and simulations, thus improving their execution time.
